Matilda, a classic...What happened later?

A movie we all saw sometime of out lives, with simple effects but well done. Matilda became a part of our childhood. That little girl with a cheesy smile, books lover and a very invisible for her parents, we must say. She earned everyone’s heart and what a movie she did.

But what happened later? Did she stay acting or what?

Mara Wilson, the main actress, being only 9 years old, had a great performance on the big screen with that movie on 1996.

Under the direction of Danny DeVito, based on Roald Dahl’s novel ‘Matilda’. Well.. some yearts after, she still auditioned for some other roles, but later she quit with films and movies. By 1998 she did some other characters in Balloon Farm, Thomas and the Magic Railroad..but of course, she decided she wanted to do something else. Acting can be really hard.

Mara Wilson completed her studies and graduated from Idyllwild Arts Academy in California and from New York’s University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2009. She later decided to be a writer and prefer theatre.

Though her mother passed away because of cancer, during the making of the film (Matilda) she ended and completed all her role in the movie. Doing her best. Even when she was so young.

This is how her story went, the story of Matilda,…  I mean Mara Wilson. Who is still stucked in time with her film in our tv screens. Being so cute and helping Miss Honey.

This year by July, the actors and most of the people that participated in this movie, made a reunion and got all together… So I can see some years appear there.. don’t you think?
