The power of a voice, changing the world

Sometimes I think everything around me is ordered in such a way that I will stay busy for months and wont publish anything here… Anyway, this isn’t the subject, I will like to talk about something that reminds me that life is a gift, and nothing should take that from us.

I did my research about the most influential women, what they’ve achieved and how gender equality is the issue, nowadays. All this reminded me about my problems, the typical thing, they’re not as big as they look, and there is so much more we can do, to appreciate life, and to defend those purposes, our believes.

This girl, she inspires me, just listening to her ideas and her centered speeches, how she’s able to change the world.

If it is not happening in your city, or near you, it doesn’t mean it is not actually something real, I’m talking about wars, political matters or even a natural disaster. These things happen, and people are being harmed or losing everything... so yes, it’s real.

But... ¿Who is “She”?

El poder de una voz puede cambiar el mundo

A veces, es impresionante como mi mundo se coordina para tenerme tan ocupada. Pero ese no es el tema de hoy, sino, algo que me inspira y me recuerda que nada nos impide luchar por lo que creemos.

Investigué sobre las mujeres de la actualidad, las más influyentes, y que han logrado llevar la igualdad a otro nivel, mejor dicho, al mismo nivel que los hombres. Pero entre tantas personas quise hablar de alguien que me ha marcado.

La vi en una entrevista, escuché sus discursos, su accidente, y cada vez que la veo en algún medio, me hace sentir lo mismo. Me hace recordar que mis problemas no son el fin del mundo, que hay mucho más por lo que todos podemos luchar. Me inspira escuchar su tranquilidad, pero cómo es que siendo tan joven sea tan clara para expresar sus ideas que cambian el mundo.

El hecho de que los problemas y las guerras no sucedan en tu ciudad, no significa que no estén pasando…

Entonces…¿Quién es ella?

Few days ago, I started watching this challenge that has raised awareness and millions $$ all these, with many videos on twitter, Facebook, YouTube, actually they were everywhere, it’s a TT (Trending Topic) it is viral and it’s real.

#IceBucketChallenge and #StrikeOutALS with this hashtags you share your video. All you need is your iPhone, yourself or the one who’s doing the challenge and a bucket of ice or cold water; well… you know how it works. The real point is to raise money and founds for the cause.

Hace días comencé a ver vídeos en twitter, Facebook, YouTube. Aunque en realidad, estaba por todas partes, es una tendencia, es viral y es real.

#IceBucketChallenge y #StrikeOutALS con estas palabras se comparte cada uno de esos videos que supongo tú has visto: se necesita algún dispositivo con el que puedas grabar, una persona, una cubeta de agua fría o hielo y bueno, ya te imaginas que pasa después.

Este reto tiene todo un movimiento y una historia detrás. Se hace con la intención de reunir fondos y atraer la atención y el apoyo para aquellos que padecen de esclerosis lateral amiotrófica [(ELA) o en sus siglas en inglés ALS].

Hey there!! It’s been a  while, I know, but let’s just get to the important stuff. Today I’ve got  an excellent recommendation for you to consider, in your next vacations or if you would like to spend a great weekend and be part of some adventures with your friends or family.

I had the opportunity of going to this… certain place. I’m the type of person that looks for something different, not the typical vacations or the same things. That’s one of the reasons that led me to this place near the beach and to discover their ecological and recreational activities… If you’ve got some place near you that has this activities, then do not waste your time and go check it out.

Hola de nuevo, hace tiempo que no he publicado algún artículo, muy mal, lo sé. Pero dejemos eso de lado y vayamos a lo interesante. Hoy te tengo una súper recomendación para unas vacaciones, o si quieres disfrutar de un buen fin de semana y haciendo algo diferente.

Tuve la oportunidad de conocer este lugar y realizar algunas de sus actividades. Si te encuentras en Sonora, sería una excelente opción o si en tu localidad tienen algo parecido a esto, deberías ir y ver qué tal…

Estas semanas tuve algunos problemas con mi conexión a internet, y obviamente me estaba volviendo loca, entre tantas cosas que hacer no podía comunicarme del todo. Sin whats app... o poder checar qué sucede a mi alrededor: en facebook. En fin, de verdad hasta me puse de mal humor por este simple hecho. Llego un técnico para arreglar todo esto y tuve la oportunidad de que alguien compartíera el siguiente video y fue lo primero que vi en pantalla. 

Quizá ya lo viste en cualquier red social, pero si no lo has visto, vale la pena utilizar estos minutos y apreciar el mensaje. Vale la pena, insisto. Hay que compartirlo y deberías verlo, no tuve comentarios al terminar. 
Me sentí identificada y al mismo tiempo un poco mal..

This last week I had some trouble with my
network and had no access to the internet, and yes, I was going crazy. I had to
go to some dance rehearsals and I wasn´t sure of the schedules and with no
whats app.. I was even mad about it. And when someone came to fix everything I
had the opportunity to watch this following video.

Maybe you already saw this on facebook,
twitter, youtube… but it’s so worth it and everyone should share. You must see
this. It left me speechless actually.

The strike continues, but NOT our education.

Hey again, it´s been a while right? Today I need to talk about something that is affecting me and many other students.

In the University I’m in, or should say was… Well, the Union called a strike, now I’ve been 36 days without school, no classes, no work, no anything. The whole university is closed. But, Why am I so worried? Why am I talking about this here, on 20sPerspective?

Hola de nuevo, hoy quiero contar algo que me está perjudicando a mí y muchos otros estudiantes.

En la universidad en la que estudio…o quizá estudiaba. El Sindicato está en huelga, ya son 36 días en paro, es decir, 36 días sin clases, sin labores administrativas. Toda la institución está cerrada. Pero ¿qué es lo más preocupante para mí, por qué escribo de este tema aquí?

Actualmente uno de los grandes problemas, en una sociedad joven que ya son adultos, podríamos decir, es la falta de conocer otro idioma, dominarlo. En países Europeos o en otros estados puede ser distinto, ya que hay quienes manejan mínimo tres idiomas. Pero aún en México y Estados Unidos, no son tantos los jóvenes que conozcan la importancia de esto y que le dediquen un poco de tiempo. 


Aquí esta una página que te podría ser muy útil si lo que te interesa es aprender un idioma o si ya lo estás haciendo, entonces el segundo link te servirá para practicar de una forma no tan común...

Inline Skating, more than a hobbie.

We can learn something new every day, or at least people always say that. But in fact I did discover more about inline skating.

I didn´t know it is a sport about speed which is not included in the Olympics, though it is recognized by the IOC (International Olympic Committee). There are world competitions for this type of skating, every year there are different states that host this events.  And some of them are directed by one of the more important skating associations, the International Skating Union.

Todos los días se aprende algo nuevo.. o así dicen. Pero ahora descubrí un poco más sobre el patinaje sobre ruedas.

Lo que no sabía es que es un deporte de velocidad no incluido en los juegos olímpicos a pesar de que es reconocido por el COI (Comité Olímpico Internacional). Hay campeonatos mundiales de patinaje, se realizan cada año en distintos lugares y pistas, por la dirección de uno de los más reconocidos del patinaje, la Federación Internacional del Patinaje.

NEW YEAR..NEW EVERYTHING

2014, as every year we expect the change, we have our new goals, new moments and sometimes new obstacles.. well actually everything goes the same way but with that new year’s effect. Every day, not only  each year, we have a new opportunity to start fresh and get better.

We all have traditions and ways to celebrate, in my case, it might sound silly but I go out with my bag or luggage so I can travel during the year. 

Some people eat grapes at certain time like 12 o’clock, and every grape its a wish. We all do this or different things but with the same thought, with hope, wishing with our hearts.

This year, I’ve a new wish:

2014, como cada año vienen nuevas metas, nuevos momentos, nuevas pruebas..en realidad vuelve todo pero cada cosa con algún cambio.

Es un nuevo año y tenemos la oportunidad de mejorar y superarnos.

Todos tenemos distintas tradiciones, en mi caso salgo con una maleta para viajar durante el año, hay quienes comen 12 uvas al dar las 12:00 en punto y quizá todos con la misma esperanza. Soñar y sobretodo que se nos cumpla.
