So... What about your Valentine's Day?

Perhaps, you might think its lame at first, but hey! Let’s admit it, who hasn’t felt a little pressure on Valentine ’s Day, because of what could or won’t happen.

February, the month of love and friendship, better known as the month where we only have that one option: “Couples and… everyone else (obviously single, friends, etc.)”.

Some people have the whole thing planned, and by “planned” I mean, they start with the cupcakes, or the hundred and one chocolates to get fat “together”, the best dinner at the perfect restaurant, a nice perfume, and they will give their couple that –perfect- something(without forgetting those awful worst most common gifts some unlucky ones will receive). Let’s be honest, not a single man wants a teddy bear, and I think the ladies are just tired of it, no more teddy bears for now, no, it is not the perfect gift. -There are a few exceptions, of course.

Valentine ’s Day has all kind of people...

The romantic and corny, cheesy lovers, yes, we all know how those are, we all know someone like that. We also have the –opposites-, the Grinch’s from Valentines, these people, they hate the date, they can get all depressed by it, because they have no couple. These people are the ones that think that cupid has been drunk the whole time, without doing his job. These “opposites” are the ones that cannot accept the happiness of others, from those who do have someone they can celebrate with.

If your are one of those bitter people, just relax, it’s less than 24 hours, where you’ll see everyone loving each other more publicly than usual, how bad could it be?

Ohh!! Hey we can’t forget those who remain “indifferents”. When these people have a couple, they celebrate February 14th , but when they’re single, they’ll  just hang out with their friends or maybe not, -who knows-. That detachment it’s what make them the most reasonable, they do not get so influenced by Valentine’s Day, they just go with it, and enjoy the ride.

The funny thing about Valentine’s day are the side effects, how some people start dating or begin a relationship from overnight, just because “that” day is coming, Oh and we have those who broke up before Valentine’s, and they also avoided the useless gift. However, we cannot ignore the real Valentine’s Day without remembering those unsuccessful stories.

Men and women, they all try to make the other person happy on that day, but.. Do they accomplish that goal? I hope so. And yes, there are a few lucky ones, but I guess, we all know more than one person with that “not so successful” Valentine’s Day.

Until today, I still can’t define where am I standing on a Valentine’s day, I’m starting to feel my first diagnosis it’s more like the pretended fake indifference, with some slight symptoms of depression and a bit corny deep down.

What about you, what kind of person are you on “Valentine’s day”, “February 14th”, the day for LOVE and friendship” or “the day of FRIENDSHIP… and who knows if there’s some love on it”.

FUNNY FACTS: 64% of men do not make plans with their sweethearts, but 53% of women in America would dump their boyfriend if they didn't receive anything for Valentine's Day.

I love you, just because you’re reading this. I really hope you enjoy this day; don’t forget to share, post a comment or whatever. This is… 20’s Perspective.
